Katie Price, the well-known former glamour model,

has candidly revealed that she is experiencing menopause and is coming to terms with the changes happening within her body.
At 46, she acknowledges the reality of ageing, despite maintaining a youthful appearance through cosmetic procedures.
In a heartfelt discussion on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she reflected on the passage of time and how it feels to see 90s and 00s boybands,

such as Five and Boyzone, making comebacks.

Expressing her disbelief at being the same age as these artists, she admitted, “I still don’t feel I’m old. But I know I am because even my body inside is going through the menopause.

So I’m not a young spring chicken, it doesn’t matter how young I think I look, what tracksuit I put on and whatever. My body is old!” She described the process as “scary,” noting that while her outward appearance remains youthful due to surgeries and cosmetic enhancements, her internal health tells a different story.
Heartbreak Over Recent Miscarriage
Katie’s revelation about menopause follows another deeply personal experience—suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage. Just weeks earlier, she shared that she had become pregnant over Christmas with her boyfriend, JJ Slater, best known from Married At First Sight UK. The pregnancy was a surprise, given that she had previously been told she was perimenopausal. Unfortunately, a scan later revealed that the baby was no longer viable, leaving both Katie and JJ devastated.
Reflecting on the painful experience, Katie explained, “I was just really sad because we went from joy and relief that I could get pregnant naturally, to confusion, heartbreak, and sadness.” Initially, she had suspected something was different when she missed her period on Boxing Day, which was highly unusual for her. Soon after, she began experiencing pregnancy symptoms, including sore breasts, nausea, mood swings, and bloating. Hoping for confirmation, she took multiple pregnancy tests, all of which confirmed the news.

However, their excitement quickly turned to sorrow when further medical tests and scans revealed that the baby had not survived. “We went to a clinic for blood tests and a scan, and the scan showed where the baby was, but that it wasn’t alive anymore. It’s been devastating,” she shared with The Sun.
Past Struggles with Pregnancy
This is not the first time Katie has endured such heartbreak. She has previously suffered three miscarriages and also faced a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy. Despite these challenges, she has been open about her desire to expand her family. In her documentary, Katie Price: Making Babies, she chronicled her journey of undergoing IVF treatment with her former fiancé, Carl Woods. Sadly, the IVF attempts were unsuccessful.
Following their breakup, Carl shared his relief that the IVF had not resulted in pregnancy, expressing that he believed it was for the best. Speaking to The Sun, he said, “This is not a heartbreak situation. I’m not unhappy that it didn’t work. I’m ecstatic that it didn’t work. I’m sure she’s glad she’s got the clean break. We don’t have any ties.”
He went on to add, “Everything happens for a reason. God was looking down on me and Kate and said, ‘You’re not matched to be parents, let’s not make this work. You go that way, I’ll go this way.’”
Embracing Life’s Changes

As Katie faces this new stage of life, she continues to be open about the realities of menopause and the impact it has had on her. While she maintains her signature youthful look through various beauty enhancements, she recognizes that her body is undergoing inevitable changes. This acknowledgment of ageing is something many women can relate to, making her story all the more resonant.
Despite the hardships she has faced in recent months, Katie remains determined to navigate life’s ups and downs with resilience. As she continues to share her personal experiences, she provides comfort and solidarity to others facing similar struggles, proving that even in the face of heartbreak and change, there is always a path forward.
